Venturing Program Information
Venturing is the newest program in the BSA, designed to help Young Men and
Women ages
14-20 develop Leadership Skills, participate in Outdoor Adventures, coordinate
Community Service projects, and learn Teaching Skills that will assist the
Packs, Troops and other members of their communities.
The Foothills District is looking for Leaders in Sidney, Walton, Delhi, and Middleburgh to help the youth who are interested in Venturing get started. If you would like to help with the Venturing Program in these communities or are interested in starting a Venture Crew please contact Trey Miller at the Council Service Center 432-6491 or by e-mail at rhmiller@bsamail.org.
Program Happenings
Crews-In Tuscarora - Venture Crews!
Details of the event “Crews-In Tuscarora” are as follows:
- Event to be held April 30 - May 2, 2010 at Camp Tuscarora.
- The event is for Crews, Ships, Posts, and Boy Scouts 13 and up.
- Cost is $14.00 per person which covers your camping fee plus program fee.
- Units will self cater (meals are NOT provided).
- Accommodations: Bring your own tents and gear to camp in our summer sites. Pitch your tents on the platforms or grass. Lean-to’s available if preferred (on request).
"On-The-Trail Mix" Program from Trail's End will be available to Venturing Crews within your Council. This new program is one-of-a-kind, because it is the first fundraiser completely marketed, packaged, and offered exclusively to Venturing Crews! More Information
