Venturing Program Information
Venturing is the newest program in the BSA, designed to help Young Men and
Women ages
14-20 develop Leadership Skills, participate in Outdoor Adventures, coordinate
Community Service projects, and learn Teaching Skills that will assist the
Packs, Troops and other members of their communities.
The Foothills District is looking for Leaders in Sidney, Walton, Delhi, and Middleburgh to help the youth who are interested in Venturing get started. If you would like to help with the Venturing Program in these communities or are interested in starting a Venture Crew please contact Trey Miller at the Council Service Center 432-6491 or by e-mail at rhmiller@bsamail.org.
Program Happenings
Crew 1001 of the Frontier District, Baden-Powell Council is planning a Co-Ed Weekend at Camp Tuscarora from Friday 6pm – Sunday 10am on October 3 – 5, 2008 for Venturing Crews, Ships, and Explorer Posts. More information
Venture Rendezvous 2008 will take place July 25th - 27th, 2008 at Camp Babcock-Hovey, the Finger Lakes Council’s Boy Scouts of America camp. More information
Beginning May 1st, the new Venturing "On-The-Trail Mix" Program from Trail's End will be available to Venturing Crews within your Council.
