Weekend Camping at Boy Scout Camp Henderson
Henderson Scout Reservation offers summer recreation and learning on 600
wooded acres.
Crumhorn Lake, a 70 acre tree-lined lake offers swimming and water sports, as
well as a focal point for camp activities. Henderson is available during the
summer months for Summer Camp, a week long
experience for troops and individuals.
During the fall, winter and spring months, Henderson provides a place for camping, hiking, skiing, and fishing activities, as well as a place to stay for traveling troops.
Weekend and Winter Reservations
All reservations for weekend camping must be done through our council office: (607) 432-6491. All reservations require a deposit which must be paid in advance.
To reserve weekend facilities, you must:
Complete the weekend camping application - Mail the completed application
(all 3 copies) along with your deposit to the council office. Your
reservation is not confirmed until you receive the white copy and receipt back
from the council office.
***We will hold your spot at camp for a maximum of 30 days without receiving
your completed application and deposit. After that time, the space will be
opened to other units.

Facilities Available
Tent Sites: Latrines available. Cost: $2.00 per person per night.
Adirondack lean-tos: accommodate 18-20 people. Cost: $2.00 per person per night. See the Lean-tos
Training Lodge: Accommodates 14-18 people, wood stove for heat, electricity, mattresses, latrine nearby, no indoor cooking facilities, Cost: $50.00 per weekend plus $2.00 per person per night. (Adirondack Lean-tos nearby see above) See the Training Lodge
Trappers Cabin: Accommodates 4 people, wood stove for heat, electricity, mattresses, latrine nearby, no indoor cooking facilities, Adirondack lean-tos nearby accommodate 18-20 people. Cost: $30.00 per weekend plus $2.00 per person per night. See the Trappers Cabin
Dining Hall: Accommodates 18 people, propane heat (approx $12.00 per weekend). Cots and mattresses, electricity, latrine nearby, no cooking facilities. Cost: $75.00 per weekend +Propane + $2 per person / night. See the Dining Hall
Health Lodge: Accommodates 7 people; propane heat included, beds. Cost: $60.00 per weekend. See the Health Lodge
Special Note: There is a limited supply of water in the rangers
headquarters.
All units using camp must have at least two (2) adult leaders, one of which must
be over 21 years old and registered with the Boy Scouts of America. All units
that are not from Otschodela Council just have a valid tour permit with them
upon arrival.
