Camp will close on Friday evening following the Order of the Arrow ceremony.
Trading Post
The camp will operate a trading post where Scout literature, craft supplies, and Scout equipment may be obtained. Candy, soda and snacks are also available during the day.
Visitors
Visitors are invited to attend camp for any of the Friday evening activities:
5:30 Chicken Barbeque (Reservations Needed)
7:30 Campfire
8:15-8:30 Order of the Arrow Ceremony starts
Insurance
Health and accident insurance is provided for all boys attending camp. The camp insurance will cover the first $150.00 of expense. If there is other insurance covering the boy, the balance of the bill will be submitted to the other insurance carrier. If there is no other insurance coverage or the second policy limits are reached, then the camp policy will again go into effect. Please be sure to indicate on your son's medical and camp application if there is another policy in effect.
Accreditation
Henderson Scout Reservation is fully accredited by the National Council, Boy
Scouts of America. The camp is inspected at least twice a year by the New York
State Department of Health and is granted a permit to operate by that office.
Copies of the inspection are on file at the Council Service Center, Rt. 23
Southside, Oneonta, New York, and at the Oneonta office of the New York State
Department of Health.
