Scouting in the Otschodela Council
The Otschodela Council of the Boy Scouts of America provides among the highest quality scouting programs. The council provides programs in the communities of Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie Counties in upstate New York.
Mission of the Council
The Mission of the Otschodela Council, Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.
Within it's programs the council provides opportunities for scouts to participate in summer camp at Boy Scout Camp Henderson, Cub Scout and Webelos Camp at Henderson, camporees, and more. It provides valuable leader training at all levels of scouting. It also promotes many Scout service related programs such as the Good Turn for America Project. Scouts and Volunteers spent over 10,000 hours of service!
