Scouting in the Otschodela Council 

The Otschodela Council of the Boy Scouts of America provides among the highest qualityAn Eagle Scout and the Board of Review Members scouting programs. The council provides programs in the communities of Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie Counties in upstate New York.

Mission of the Council

The Mission of the Otschodela Council, Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

Within it's programs the council provides opportunities for scouts to participate in summer camp at Boy Scout Camp Henderson, camporees, day camps and more. It provides valuable leader training at all levels of scouting. It also promotes many Scout service related programs such as Scouting for Food which in 2005 collected over 38,000 food items for local community's food pantries. Scouts and Volunteers spent over 10,000 hours of service!
